The Rural ICT Guided Home-based Technopreneur (RIGHT) Programme is a holistic approach towards bridging the prevailing rural-urban digital divide in Sarawak.

The RIGHT Programme is owned, and was initiated by Sarawak Information Systems Sdn Bhd (SAINS). SAINS sees this program as a social contribution in helping the State narrow the rural-urban digital divide. The main beneficiaries of this program are individuals residing in the rural areas who posses talent and interest in ICT businesses but lack the knowledge and skills to push them forward. This programme will offer these individuals the opportunity to utilise their talents to the fullest and prove themselves.

RIGHT leverages the wide range of specialised ICT skills available in SAINS, its established Technical Support Units at the Divisional level, and SarawakNet, which reaches from Kuching all the way down to the sub-district level. With this programme, SAINS provides appropriate ICT training to suitably qualified youths from the rural community. They are then sent back into their community to be "technopreneurs", running their own ICT businesses from home.

SAINS recently collaborated with the Ministry of Rural and Land Development when the Ministry acted as a co-sponsor for the pilot project of the RIGHT Programme. Other private corporations and agencies are also welcome to come aboard as sponsors for future candidates of the RIGHT Programme.
